Vijayawada: CPI State secretary K Ramakrishna demanded actor Pawan Kalyan to reveal his stand on the failures of the State and Central governments for the past two years and asked whether he questioned the governments.

Reacting to Pawan Kalyan’s statement on contesting 2019 general elections, the CPI leader said that Pawan, who kept quiet for the past two years and failed to question the government on public issues, is now planning to contest the elections.

Ramakrishna said that if Pawan Kalyan is ready to question Prime Minister Narendra Modi on special status to AP, the CPI leaders would accompany him and extend support. Referring to defections in the State, the CPI leader said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who condemned defections in Telangana, is now encouraging defections in AP.

He said that the TDP government has been taking unilateral decisions on irrigation projects and increasing the costs to benefit contractors. He said Polavaram project displaced people should be offered land as compensation.
