The bench is dealing with a writ petition filed by P N Arun Kumar complaining of illegal sale of babies by agents, nurses, etc. He complained that the agents/ nurses were preserving and using additional foetus illegally and unethically born through the process of surrogacy without the notice of the couple who come for IVF treatment.
