Link roads with market yard funds: Pulla Rao
Minister for Agriculture Prattipati Pulla Rao on Wednesday instructed the officials to submit proposals to develop link roads with 20 percent agriculture marketing yard funds. He addressed a review meeting held in ZP meeting hall. He said that during 2015-16, twenty agriculture marketing committees got Rs 107.13 crore revenue through the marketing committees.
Amaravati: Minister for Agriculture Prattipati Pulla Rao on Wednesday instructed the officials to submit proposals to develop link roads with 20 percent agriculture marketing yard funds. He addressed a review meeting held in ZP meeting hall. He said that during 2015-16, twenty agriculture marketing committees got Rs 107.13 crore revenue through the marketing committees.
He said that the district administration had spent 20 percent funds for developing link roads in the villages. He instructed the officials to complete the works within the stipulated time and submit proposal to take up new works to the District Collector. He instructed officials to maintain quality in laying the new roads.
He said that if the work cost was below Rs 5 lakh, that work might be given on nomination basis. He directed the officials to link the works with the MNREGS to provide employment to the job-seekers. He instructed the officials to take up dumping yard works, Anganwadi building construction works, rain water harvesting pits works under the MNREGS.
He said that 70 percent drinking water tanks were filled with Nagarjunasagar water in the district and directed the officials to supply drinking water through tankers to the city outskirts. Later speaking to media, the Minister said that the Tobacco Board would conduct a meeting with the exporters and traders and take steps to purchase tobacco stocks in the district. He said that the farmers produced 126 million kg as against 120 million kg crop size fixed by the board.
