Citing an example of annual Income Tax revenue, he informed that of the total Rs 37,000 crore IT revenue generated by the combined States in 2015-16 fiscal, the share of Andhra Pradesh is only Rs 7,000 crore and questioned where the justice was.

Visakhapatnam: To beat the growing heat wave conditions, the Cabinet Committee headed by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu took a decision to open as many water kiosks as possible covering all the districts for a period of 45 days and also to set up district and State level committees to assess socio-economic progress in the last two years after the implementation of welfare programmes, informed TDP State president Kala Venkata Rao.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Venkata Rao said the water kiosks would be set up till the first week of June as rains are expected at that time and a clarity would be given on setting up of water and butter milk kiosks in a couple of days.
He said it was also decided in the Cabinet meeting that district and State level panels would be appointed involving district in-charge Minister, district Minister, district party president, MPs, MLAs and party leaders in the district level panel while the State high level panel would be set up with party National General Secretary Nara Lokesh and other senior leaders. Praising the functioning of the Chief Minister, the State president said that Naidu used to work for 8 to 10 hours when he became the Chief Minister for the first time, 10 to 12 hours during his second term and now 16 hours a day during the third term focusing on development.
Finding fault with the way the State was bifurcated, Venkata Rao felt that it is very difficult to develop a State like Andhra Pradesh as there was no capital and no expected revenue levels and still, the Chief Minister is committed to implement all welfare programmes for the poor and the downtrodden.

“All these problems arose only due to unscientific bifurcation of the State and ‘hire and fire policy’ of the previous government,” he explained. When asked whether the district level panels are constituted to check the functioning of the district officials, he replied in negative, adding that the party functionaries would extend help to the district administration in implementing welfare schemes.
When queried about holding of municipal elections, Venkata Rao said it was due to the delay in setting up of State Election Commission and also due to court cases but the party is ever ready to face the elections. Urban district president and MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu and party leaders were present.
