Two killed, 9 hurt in road mishap

Two persons were killed and nine others sustained severe injuries in a road accident at Kommipadu in Sydapuram mandal on Wednesday midnight. According to police, Sravan Kumar (38) and Bala Guravaiah (50) of Kurnool were travelling in an Innova towards Ongole. The car hit the tractor from rear side while trying to take over it.

The tractor was carrying a marriage party from Tocham in Sydapuram mandal when the accident took place. Penchalaiah and 8 others, who were in the tractor, received severe injuries. Injured were shifted to Gudur area hospital for treatment and local DSP Srinivas visited the accident spot. Police registered a case.
