Atmakur: At last, Srisailam MLA and Kurnool district YSRCP president Budda Rajasekhar Reddy is all set to join the Telugu Desam, as the ‘muhurat’ has been set. He will formally switch sides on April 28 in Vijayawada in the Chief Minister’s Office at 10 am. He took the decision after consulting the party activists at the party office here on Tuesday.

They are all heading for Vijayawada on April 27, after keeping vehicles and buses ready. There have been hot discussions during the last one week over Reddy leaving the YSRCP. He took the decision after holding discussions with the party activists from five Mandals during the last three days in his native village of Velpanooru.

Reddy clarified that he is being forced to switch parties for ‘doing justice’ to the activists. Meanwhile, Srisailam TDP in-charge and MLC Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy is unhappy with the legislator’s decision to join the yellow party. However, his rival people’s representatives are extending support to Budda, irked and affected by Chakrapani Reddy’s ‘unilateral decisions, high-handed behaviour and caste discrimination’.
