Elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth and fair conduct of APEAMCET-2016 in Visakha region on April 29, said Regional Coordinator and Chairman of Faculty of Engineering Dr T Subrahmanyam. He informed here on Tuesday that the common entrance test for engineering stream will be conducted between 10 am and 1 pm while the agriculture and medicine from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

​Visakhapatnam: Elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth and fair conduct of APEAMCET-2016 in Visakha region on April 29, said Regional Coordinator and Chairman of Faculty of Engineering Dr T Subrahmanyam. He informed here on Tuesday that the common entrance test for engineering stream will be conducted between 10 am and 1 pm while the agriculture and medicine from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

The regional coordinator said 33 test centres were identified in the Visakha Regional Centre for engineering stream and 15 for agriculture and medicine streams and a total of 25,594 candidates will be appearing of which 18,076 for engineering stream and 7,518 for agriculture and medicine.

He advised the candidates to reach the test centres by 9 am on April 29 morning and by 1.30 pm for the forenoon session. After 10 am for engineering stream and after 2.30 pm for agriculture and medicine streams, candidates will not be allowed even if they are late by a minute.

As per the new rule, candidates should not wear wrist watches and once allowed inside, candidates will not be allowed to go out of the test centre till the end of the exam. He asked the candidates to use ball point pen of blue or black in place of pencil to darken the circles in the OMR answer sheet and they should carry only the hall ticket, filled-in online application form and a ball point pen only.

The filled-in online application form by affixing photograph duly attested by a gazetted officer or college principal where studied should be handed over to the invigilator after signing and affixing the left hand thumb impression in the presence of the invigilator. SC and ST candidates must submit an attested copy of the caste certificate, along with the confirmation page to the invigilator.

Drinking water and first-aid facilities are being provided at all the test centres with necessary police bandobust. Meanwhile, Additional Joint Collector D V Reddy said that free transport facility will be provided to the candidates appearing for APEAMCET-16 on April 29 and T-EAMCET-16 on May 2 to all the test centres and the RTC will ply the buses.

He informed that the free bus facility will be available a day before the exam on April 28 and also on the test date on April 29 for which the candidates have to show the hall tickets.
