Vizag skaters win medals in Malaysia

City-based skaters clinched four medals, including two silver medals, in the recently concluded 11th Malaysia Open ICE Championship-2016 held in Kualalumpur. The Sivaji Park Skating Association members said that five skaters of the association took part in the championship and of them M Vishal Anand and Priyam Tated clinched silver medals while Pratham Tated and Jaswanth Kumar B won bronze medals.

The medal winners said considering the popularity of the sport in Vizag and other parts in the State, the government should extend their support to encourage skating in the State by building modern rinks and providing basic infrastructure.
