Release Handri-Neeva water: Uravakonda MLA

Uravakonda (Anantapur): Uravakonda MLA Visweshwar Reddy has stated that he would be participating in the party agitation on May 7
and 8 in Beluguppa mandal to press the government to release Handri-Neeva water for every acre of agriculture land in the district and
bring the district out of the clutches of permanant drought conditions.
Speaking to reporters here, Reddy said that water should be released for the Handri-Neeva command area to save the crops from
destruction. He said that if the district does not get its due share, the party will intensify the agitation until the demands of the people are
met.
He said that the agitation dubbed as 'Jala Jagarana' would be intensified until the government proves its commitment to the district.
