Speaking on the occasion, Raghunatha Reddy said Telugu Desam government will bring revolutionary changes in Information Technology and e-procurement is one of them. He said the e-Procurement will bring more transparency, reduce time and expenditure in filing tenders by applicants. He said the government is updating the e-procurement system and recalled the TDP government launching e-Seva in united AP in 2002.

IT Minister said the tender filing applicants can pay the UMD by net banking, debit card and other means to take part in the procurement. He said all applications of the tenders can be opened at the same time and corruption will come down due to this advanced system.

He said it is mandatory for all State government departments to use new version of e-procurement and e-auction system. He said over 43,000 transactions were made worth Rs 7,240 crore last year through the e-tender process. He said the new version of e-procurement will bring more revenue to the government and administrative activities will be hastened.

Referring to internet and optical fibre grid plan in the State, he said efforts were on to provide internet facilities to 40,000 villages by July and August, 2016. He said 10 Mbs or 20 Mbs speed net facility, phone and television facility will be arranged in the fibre grid.

Information Technology department secretary P Pradyumna said only ten countries in South East Asia are using this advanced version of e-procurement and e-auction system and said the most important advantage with this new version is all tenders can be opened at the same time and corruption can be checked with it. He said the government is providing 300 kinds of services in Mee-Seva and mee-seva App developed by IT department is beneficial to the consumers.
