Visakh Refinery distributes scholarships worth `2.2-cr
Visakh Refinery of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) distributed scholarship cheques to SC, ST, OBC and Persons with Disablity (PwD) students of 15 Government Degree Colleges in the district at a function here on Saturday.
Visakhapatnam: Visakh Refinery of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) distributed scholarship cheques to SC, ST, OBC and Persons with Disablity (PwD) students of 15 Government Degree Colleges in the district at a function here on Saturday.
Company Chairman and Managing Director M K Surana, who paid his maiden visit to the company after assuming charge as CMD, attended the function. District Collector N Yuvaraj asked the students to dream big by putting persistent efforts to achieve the goal in life. “To get an academic scholarship from a gigantic company like HPCL is nothing but recognition of merit among SC, ST, OBC and PWD students and certainly the scholarships will help encourage the students to come up in life,” he explained.
