Visakhapatnam: Subhapradam, summer coaching camp, for school children, who passed 7th, 8th and 9th classes, will be commenced at Paderu in the Agency area and also in the city from Monday. The coaching camp is being organised jointly by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad for the fifth time in all 23 districts of both Andhra Pradesh and the Telangana States.

When contacted, TTD district manager Venkata Ramana told The Hans India here on Sunday that they have made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the camps at Paderu and in the city as well. Stating that the selected children were instructed to reach their respective centres by Sunday evening, he informed that 12 resource persons trained by the TTD will handle each camp

Though the organisers gave permission for 1,000 children to each district in Andhra Pradesh, it permitted intake of 1,200 candidates from north coastal Andhra and East Godavari districts as it was linked with Agency areas. The coaching camp evoked the good response from children as nearly 1,680 have applied from Vizag district of which the local TTD district authorities have scrutinised 1,200 and the list was sent to the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad) Tirupati for approval.

The coaching classes will be conducted daily between 5 am and 7 pm touching all subjects, including personality development, sports, yoga and meditation. Those who had already taken the coaching last time or those going for Intermediate course this year are not eligible.

He said that the Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Ashram School for Boys, Talarisingi near Paderu was allocated for boys and the Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Ashram School for Girls, Paderu and the NRI College campus near Enda on the city outskirts were allocated for girls.

The district manager informed that the participants will be given free shelter and food during coaching camp adding that the demand for the camp has been growing every year as it mainly focusing on restoring human values. All participants will be issued ID cards.
Venkata Ramana further informed that each child will be given Rs 300 towards transport charges and the camp centres will be given Rs 120 for supplying food to each child per day and Rs 10,000 as rent per day.

To guide the candidates, in-charges were appointed at all the centres, he added. To a question, he said that a booklet on Subhapradam was released and the copies will be given to the participants and at the end of the camp, each child will be given the certificate. All the participants were instructed to reach the centres by Sunday evening, he added. Coaching camp will conclude on May 29,he added.
