Tirumala witnesses heavy pilgrim rush
Tirumala is witnessing a heavy influx of pilgrims since Friday leading to the two massive queue complexes – Vaikuntam I and II remaining full to the brim, leading to the devotees queue extended to Narayana Giri garden area outside the queue complex on Sunday.

The TTD officials were virtually on their toes to manage the rush while Executive Officer D Sambasiva Rao inspected various places on Sunday, gearing up the temple administration to clear the heavy turnout of devotee due to Summer holidays.
According to temple sources, it is taking 12 hours for the darshan of the pilgrim in the general line while for the devotees who came on foot to the hills from Tirupati through the footpath, the waiting time was about 9 hours indicating the intensity of the rush. The Rs 300 ticket holders also have to wait four to five hours to have their turn for darshan.
TTD sources said that about 2.20 lakh pilgrims had darshan since Friday to Sunday. This includes 75,148 pilgrims on Friday, 88,077 pilgrims on Saturday and the remaining 56,775 pilgrims visited Tirumala on Sunday till 6 p.m. The rush was expected to ease by Monday.
