Visakhapatnam: Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda arrived here on a special flight from Bengaluru on Saturday and attended a private programme, Later, Deve Gowda went to Simhachalam to have a darshan of Lord Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narsimha Swamy where he was received with temple honours by the temple main priest, temple administrative officer R V S Prasad, special sub-collector P Satyanarayana and other officials.

After offering special prayers to the Lord, Deve Gowda hugged the Kappa Stambam at Beda Mandapam, one of the temple rituals. Later, the temple priests blessed the former Prime Minister amid chanting of Vedic hymns and offered prasadam. Gopalapatnam Inspector S Bala Surya Rao and his team led by ACP V Bheema Rao made arrangements for Deve Gowada’s visit.
