As many as 96.16 percent candidates were qualified in the Edcet results, which were released here on Thursday. SV University vice-chancellor A Damodaram released the results in which 3,020 men (96.36 percent) and women 6,174 (96.06 percent) were qualified.

100 percent pass percentage among SC, ST candidates

It is remarkable that all the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, who appeared for the Ed.CET was qualified to register 100 percent pass percentage. The pass percentage of BCs was at 92.6 while OC stood at 94.94 percent. Chittoor stood first with the 99.48 candidates appeared qualified, followed by Rajamahendravaram (98.02) and Guntur (97.79). 98.87 percent qualified in mathematics, 99.29 percent in physical science, 97.48 percent in biological science, 93.49 percent in social studies and 98.29 percent in English.

The top rankers in mathematics are S Srinivasa Rao of Srikakulam (First), G Sravani from Vizag and P Venkata Sivaji of Guntur. In physical science K Kameswar Rao from Srikakulam stood first, M Sivakumar of Hyderabad was second and Sidham Gopal of Visakhapatnam stood third.

In the biological sciences, Satya Vani (Visakhapatnam) was first followed by G Syuvasri (Visakhapatnam) and Harsha Nandini (Krishna). MK Charan Raj of Kurnool topped social studies and was followed by while Bala Venkatesh and Rameshbabu from Anantapur.G Deepthi of Visakhapatnam got the first rank in English stream followed by Balachandran from Vijayawada and Anju Francis of Kerala secured the third rank.
