Addressing officials and party men through a video conference from Vijayawada on Friday, the Chief Minister said that everyone should work hard to develop the State as it suffered a huge loss due to bifurcation. He further added that though the revenue deficit was Rs 16,000 crores in first year, the Union government sanctioned Rs 2,300 crore only.

He expressed his concern over the delay in setting up the central institutions as per Schedule 9 and 10 of the Bifurcation Act. In order to prevent disputes with the neighbouring states, he further said that the Union government should pave the way for establishing the central institutions immediately in the State.

Terming that as per the 14th Finance Commission report, the revenue deficit of AP would be more than the North Eastern states, Naidu said that AP achieved 3 per cent growth in revenue in the last two years. State government officials and people should work with high commitment to achieve further growth in the coming three years.

Congratulating officials and people who participated in the Nava Nirmana Deeksha, Naidu further said that the same spirit should be continued for further development of AP. He said that the Central government should extend cooperation to AP to improve per capita income here at par with other States.
