Addressing a workshop on Nava Nirmana Deeksha here on Friday evening, the Chief Minister said the State has been facing the crisis with unjust bifurcation and was lagging behind Telangana in per capita income and the situation is further aggravated by a delay in a division of joint properties. He said that the Congress government had failed to honour the plea of TDP for justice to both the States.
He said it would cost Rs 20 lakh crore and 20 years time to build a city like Hyderabad. He also expressed concern over denial of railway zone to Andhra Pradesh. Naidu said Rayalaseema got only Rs 700 crore as the special package from the Central government and Polavaram had got only Rs 850 crore so far.
He reminded that AP Reorganisation Act promised metro rail, ports, steel plant and other projects which are yet to be sanctioned by the State. The Chief Minister said that he had shifted the administration to new capital as it would be impossible to develop the State by ruling from Hyderabad.
Referring to opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s comments against him, the Chief Minister said it was unfortunate to have such opposition leader. He said that he pities such an opposition leader. Earlier, addressing the meeting, government media advisor Parakala Prabhakar said people were able to forget the bifurcation loss under the able leadership of Chandrababu Naidu for the past two years.
He said that the Chief Minister was successful in implementing loan waiver scheme for farmers and achieving uninterrupted power supply.
