Works to be completed by 2nd week of June
He inspected the aqueduct works at Janampeta village in Pedavegi mandal in West Godavari district on Friday. Speaking to reporters at the aqueduct, the Minister said that all necessary steps have been taken up to complete the aqueduct works.
Eluru: Minister for Water resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said that the Tammileru aqueduct works would be completed by second week of this month.
He inspected the aqueduct works at Janampeta village in Pedavegi mandal in West Godavari district on Friday. Speaking to reporters at the aqueduct, the Minister said that all necessary steps have been taken up to complete the aqueduct works.
Stating that works on Vamsadhara, Nagavali, and Velugodu projects are going on in a brisk pace, he reiterated the government is committed to supply drinking and irrigation water by linking of rivers.
Uma claimed that the Neru-Chettu programme, which was aimed to improve the ground water levels, was paying rich dividends and vowed that they would complete the Polavaram project on time. Irrigation SE Srinivasa Yadav and other officials were also present.
