Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that smart pulse survey would be conducted in the third week of June to implement welfare programmes in a fool-proof manner and reach the poor.

Conducting a video-conference from his residence on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that the smart pulse survey would be based on various identification cards.

“Those who are not having Aadhaar card are not eligible for benefits of several welfare programmes being implemented by the State and Central governments,” he said and stressed the need for providing Aadhaar cards to all.

Naidu said that the smart pulse survey will be conducted for the first time in the country. “Employees will collect the data from people and upload it in their tabs. Geo tagging will be implemented for transparency in the survey,” he said and instructed the officials to train employees in conducting survey.

CMO joint secretary and IT secretary PS Pradyumna said that there should be transparency in data collection and it should be linked to previous data. Collector Babu A said that tab management applications were formulated for pulse survey. He said DWCRA members would assist the employees in collecting data during pulse survey.

Communications Advisor to the State government Parakala Prabhakar, Special Chief Secretary Satish Chandra, commissioner of information and public relations Venkateswar were present.
