Nellore: Sarvepalli MLA and YSRCP district convener Kakani Govardhan Reddy alleged that officials have misappropriated Rs 100 crore of funds in Neeru Chettu programme. Speaking to the media at Podalakur on Saturday, Kakani demanded the State government to take action against erring officials and others, who were involved in dwindling of funds pertaining to Neeru Chettu programme.
The YSRCP leader said that officials of the Vigilance department also found officials concerned have committed fraud by colluding with others in Neeru Chettu. Kakani said that they had submitted a report to the district administration for necessary action.
The MLA warned to raise the issue in Assembly if action is not initiated against erring officials and others. He stated that misappropriation of funds took place by submitting wrong bills.
