Climate plays hide and seek
Rainbow in the evening presented a feast for eyes of young and old who were sweat-soaked during day hours on Wednesday. The otherwise horrid temperature until late evening forced citizens to run for cover. The minimum temperature was 24 degree Celsius and maximum was 35 degree Celsius. The humidity was high in percentage.
​Vijayawada: The city is witnessing both cloudy and sultry weather since the first week of June. While the mornings are cloudy and steady, by afternoon the temperature is reaching its peak. Often, there is a drizzle in the evenings.

After on and off of rainfall across Krishna district, it was surprising for the denizens to experience summer-like temperatures, again. Mercury soared and heat waves prevailed much to the inconvenience and irritation of many.
On the other hand, Nandigama village in the district received severe rainfall that hit electricity supply. People had suffered without power. Climatic woes continue to haunt people who are already put in a fix with ongoing renovation, construction and repair works at several parts of the city.
