Hyderabad: The Met office on Sunday warned of heavy to very heavy rain lashing isolated places in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East & West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts on June 27 and 28, as the Southwest Monsoon has been active over the coastal districts. The Met bulletin said a low pressure was formed over the west-central Bay of Bengal off coastal Andhra Pradesh under the influence of upper air cyclonic circulation at 5.30 am on Sunday.

It lies over the west- central and adjoining north-west Bay off south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh. The trough now runs from the system to south Tamil Nadu across the coastal districts.

The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at most places in coastal AP and at a few places in Rayalaseema from June 27 to 30. Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in the four Seema districts.
