Awareness on zoonotic diseases stressed

Tirupati: A dog show and anti-rabies vaccination marked World Zoonoses Day (WZD) held at veterinary dispensary in SV Veterinary College here on Wednesday.
Local MLA Suguna, who participated in WZD in the dispensary stressed on creating awareness among the people against zoonotic diseases and lauded the services of the dispensary for animal care here.
Marking the occasion, a dog show was held in which the police dogs with their various feats won the appreciation of the people. As many as 700 pet dogs were administered anti-rabies vaccination, as part of WZD. SV Veterinary College principal Eswar Prasad and others were present.
