YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy who is facing repeated charges against him has once again been remanded to police custody.

The YSRCP MLA was shifted to Cuddapah Central jail on Saturday fearing the protests at the Tirupati jail by Chevireddy supporters. He earlier was arrested on Thursday night for staging a dharna at the sub collector's office for which he was remanded to 15 days custody but was released on bail on Saturday morning.

However, Chevireddy was again taken into custody in connection with another case registered by the MR Palli police.

The MLA was later presented before the court where he was remanded to 14 days custody. Speaking to the media before being taken into custody, Chevireddy raised strong objections against the administration. He said that he was preparing for the Gadapagadapaku mass contact programme but was being put in jail in a bid to ward him off.

Nevertheless, Chevireddy asserted that he expose the misdeeds of the Chandrababu government to prevent the mass contact programme.
