Call to plant five trees in each house
Addressing a meeting at the ZP High School grounds in Buchaiahgaripalle village in Puttaparthi mandal on Tuesday, Palle said that 7 lakh trees should be planted in the entire constituency in house premises, government and private offices and in public places as part of greening initiative of the district administration and to plant 1.15 crore trees in the district.
Puttaparthi (Anantapur): IT and Information Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy has called upon all residents in his Assembly constituency to plant five trees in each house both in the front and backyard and change the climate locally.
Addressing a meeting at the ZP High School grounds in Buchaiahgaripalle village in Puttaparthi mandal on Tuesday, Palle said that 7 lakh trees should be planted in the entire constituency in house premises, government and private offices and in public places as part of greening initiative of the district administration and to plant 1.15 crore trees in the district.
He asked students to take active part in tree plantation drive and farmers to plant trees on farm pond bunds. Trees, he said, provide oxygen to the people. Mandal president Chintakayala Ravi, Sarpanch Yashoda, Tahsildhar Usha Rani and MPDO Vijaya Lakshmi were present.
