The DGP, who was scheduled to arrive at Pentakota at 2 pm, reached the venue three hours behind schedule. Later, he also inaugurated the police station buildings, which were built with an estimated cost of Rs 2 crore each at Chintapalli and G K Veedhi, with a remote control and also the Police Rest House built at a cost of Rs 1 crore at G Madugula. 

Payakaraopet (Visakhapatnam): Director General of Police (DGP) J V Ramudu inaugurated the Marine Police Station constructed with a cost of Rs 45 lakh at Pentakota village in Payakaraopet mandal on Wednesday.

The DGP, who was scheduled to arrive at Pentakota at 2 pm, reached the venue three hours behind schedule. Later, he also inaugurated the police station buildings, which were built with an estimated cost of Rs 2 crore each at Chintapalli and G K Veedhi, with a remote control and also the Police Rest House built at a cost of Rs 1 crore at G Madugula.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramudu said that in order to step up marine security, the Marine Police Station was set up here and the two police stations inaugurated are equipped with latest technology.

To a query, he said that the recruitment of police constables will be taken up soon. DIG Visakha Range Ravikanth, SP Rahul Dev Sharma, Marine police personnel, Inspectors Rambabu, Venkata Rao and SI Satyanarayana were present.
