Garladinne (Anantapur): IT and Information Minister Dr Palle Raghunatha Reddy paid a visit to Thimampeta village in Garladinne mandal on Friday. The Minister interacted with farmers and also agriculture labourers. He also visited the groundnut fields and enquired about the crop condition.

Speaking to farmers on the occasion, Palle said that Handri-Neeva project would be completed soon to supply water for irrigation purpose in the district. If that happens, Palle said entire district landscape would be transformed.

He advised farmers to go for farm ponds and contribute to recharging of crop lands as well as groundwater. He asked the farmers to strictly follow the instructions of agriculture officers to deal with problem of pests.

Palle also interacted with agriculture labourers and women. He immediately responded to plea of a woman who sought a white ration card and another girl who expressed her desire to study as she had left her studies after the demise of her parents.

Immediately, he called the tahsildar to arrange for a ration card. He also called the principal of Gurukula Patasala at
Nallamada and instructed him to immediately admit the girl in 10th class.
