Kurnool: Special Officer for Krishna Pushkaralu Ananta Ram and District Collector Challa Vijay Mohan paid a visit to Pathalaganga and Lingalagattu at Srisailam and inspected the ongoing construction of bathing ghats and other works on Saturday.

Ram ordered the engineers and the contractors to speed up the construction works by deploying additional manpower, besides equipments and carry out the work during night as well. Besides, construction of bathing ghats, he also instructed authorities concerned to take up the leveling works wherever necessary for parking lot.

He told them to arrange changing rooms adjacent to the bathing ghats. He urged the engineers to handover the completed works by the end of this month so as to enable them to carry out other arrangements.

He instructed them to construct platforms at Pathalaganga so that the devotees could have holy dip even when the water level attains 885 tmc ft without any difficulty.

He ordered them to get the material, being used for the construction of bathing ghats, tested with the quality control engineers. He warned them of stringent action if quality was not maintained or map design was not followed.

Expressing his displeasure over the slow pace of ghat works at Lingalagattu, he breathed fire on the contractor. He raised an objection over the disposal of waste into the river. Later, Ananta Ram and Vijay Mohan offered special prayers to the deity Bhramarambha Mallikarjuna Swamy.

Srisailam Temple Executive Officer Narayana Bharat Gupta, dam superintendent engineer Mallikarjuna Reddy and other officers accompanied the Special Officer.
