Decoration of Lord Siva with currency notes
The Panchayatanasameta Uma Ramalingeswara Swamy was decorated with currency notes worth of Rs 1 lakh at Lord Siva’s temple in Durgada of Gollaprolu mandal on Monday, on account of Masa Siva Ratri.
Pithapuram: The Panchayatanasameta Uma Ramalingeswara Swamy was decorated with currency notes worth of Rs 1 lakh at Lord Siva’s temple in Durgada of Gollaprolu mandal on Monday, on account of Masa Siva Ratri.
The sanctum-sanctorum of the temple was decorated with currency notes of Rs 10, Rs 20, Rs 50 and Rs 100. Temple priests Dattu and Veerababu said that decorating the Swamy in this way would bestow one with riches. In the morning, special abhishekam was performed to the deities. Devotees in large numbers had a darshan of the deity.
