Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Sumita Dawra, has advised the Andhra University administration to work towards ensuring quality teaching and research by the faculty and research scholars to compete with the international universities.

Addressing a review meeting on Quality Education and Research in Universities in Andhra University here on Monday, Sumita said that the State government is very keen on maintaining high academic standards in Universities. She said that the teachers and research scholars should update their knowledge and communication skills.
Vice-Chancellor Prof G Nageswara Rao said that the Andhra University has been taking measures to maintain high academic standards by imparting quality education to the students. Rector Prof E A Narayana, registrar Prof V Umamaheswara Rao, Prof P S Avadhani, Prof C V Raman, Prof Gayatri Devi and Prof C Ratnam were present.
