Naik takes charge as EPDCL CMD
Belonging to 2005 IAS batch, Naik was the ninth CMD of the Discom which became operational in 2000. He was posted in the place of CMD R Mutyala Raju, who has been transferred as Collector of Nellore district. Prior to this appointment, Naik had worked as Vizianagaram district Collector.
Visakhapatnam: M M Naik took charge as Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) here at the corporate office on Wednesday.
Belonging to 2005 IAS batch, Naik was the ninth CMD of the Discom which became operational in 2000. He was posted in the place of CMD R Mutyala Raju, who has been transferred as Collector of Nellore district. Prior to this appointment, Naik had worked as Vizianagaram district Collector.
After taking the charge, the new CMD told reporters that he would continue whatever reforms initiated and implemented by his predecessor Mutyala Raju and would come up with novel ideas and reforms to keep the standard of the company.
With the usage of latest technology, I want to meet the expectations of the government and the consumers with the cooperation of the staff,” he added.
