Apollo Hospitals launches trauma care service
After formally flagging off the service by ACP (traffic) Kinjarapu Prabhakar Rao, Sandeep told reporters that the service has special features , including the first GPS- enabled ambulance service in Andhra Pradesh, it is akin to ‘ICU on Wheels’ and the first poly trauma facility supported by multi-disciplinary care.
Visakhapatnam:Regional Chief Executive Officer of Apollo Hospitals (AP, Telangana State and Odisha) Dr Sandeep C announced the launch of renowned world-class trauma care service here at the Health City, Arilova, on Friday.
After formally flagging off the service by ACP (traffic) Kinjarapu Prabhakar Rao, Sandeep told reporters that the service has special features , including the first GPS- enabled ambulance service in Andhra Pradesh, it is akin to ‘ICU on Wheels’ and the first poly trauma facility supported by multi-disciplinary care.
He said the trauma care centre will provide emergency and critical services for cardiac attacks, brain strokes, head injuries, road or home accidents or poisoning cases.
He said the centre was equipped with the state-of-the-art ambulances to ensure immediate shifting of the patients with constant monitoring by well trained paramedics. The CEO said that the first GPS-enabled ambulance service helps in reaching the accident victim in minimum possible time by taking shortest possible route as every minute counts in emergencies.
