50 red sanders logs recovered
Inspectors (RSIs) SS Srinivasa Rao, Ali Basha and Forest Range Officer (FRO) Ramana Reddy combing in Balapalli forest range found 17 red sanders logs hidden behind thick bushes in Polikisela area on borders of Chittoor-Kadapa district on Saturday.
Tirupati: The task force personnel recovered 50 red sanders logs from two forest areas on Saturday. A task force team including Reserve Sub-Inspectors (RSIs) SS Srinivasa Rao, Ali Basha and Forest Range Officer (FRO) Ramana Reddy combing in Balapalli forest range found 17 red sanders logs hidden behind thick bushes in Polikisela area on borders of Chittoor-Kadapa district on Saturday.
Another team has found 33 logs hidden in a field and also under a culvert on the forest fringe area of Dakkali forest in Rapur mandal in Nellore district on Saturday.
Acting on a tip off, a team led by DSP Haranadh Babu including FRO Venkatasubbaiah and SI Hazi Vali took up searches in the Dakkali forest area leading to the recovery of huge quantity of red sanders logs hidden by the smugglers before smuggling them to other State.
