Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao asked officials to segregate foreign currency coins contributed by the devotees in a systematic manner at the Parakamani.

Speaking at a review meeting with senior officials at the TTD headquarters here on Monday, the EO sought suggestions as to what arrangements can be made to count all the hundi collections of Padmavati Ammavari temple at Tiruchanur and other local temples at one location in Tirupati.

He also wanted that all the metal coins stored at Parakamani should be frequently egregated and counted.

The EO directed officials to avoid wastage of ghee in ghee tins. “Arrangements should be made to install a ghee tank at the Padmavati Ammavari temple in Tiruchanur,” he added.

Rao asked officials to frame guidelines on quality, cleanliness and storage of essential commodities like ghee in TTD stores.

The EO instructed officials to speed up the construction of the annex complex at BIRRD hospital here. The staff at the sculpturing division in the TTD should undergo respiratory tests for lung related ailments, he said.

The EO asked the Additional Chief Vigilance and Security Officer Sivakumar Reddy to take steps for enhancing security measures with additional staff on deputation at the Srivari Temple in Chennai.

Rao also directed the SVBC officials to prepare a special story on the significance and glory of all the religious and pilgrim locations along the Krishna river from its birth place of Mahabaleshwaram in Maharashtra.

He stated that the SVBC would telecast the events at Mahabaleswaram on the first day of the Krishna Pushkaralu.

The EO also said that renowned artistes, Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardees should be invited to perform at the Nada Neeranjanam in Tirumala.

He also instructed the Devasthanam Education Officer Vijayakumar to convene a review meeting with wardens of all hostels under the TTD and ensure quality food is served to all students.

Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar, Chief Engineer Chandrasekhar Reddy, AFA and CAO Balaji, SE Ramesh Reddy and others took part in the review meeting.
