Hyderabad: Political circles are agog with speculation that the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is contemplating a major Cabinet reshuffle in the third week of September. The party sources are convinced that TDP president is all set to include his son and the national general secretary, Nara Lokesh into the Cabinet.

A sizeable number of YSR Congress MLAs defected to TDP in the recent past. Inclusion of some of them in the ministry seems imminent. The party leadership feels that exclusion of defected MLAs would alienate them politically. Jyothula Nehru, Bhooma Nagi Reddy are front runners in this quota. Nehru's caste background seems to be an asset for him.

In fact, Deputy Chief Minister Chinna Rajappa earlier commented that Nehru would have been in his seat had he joined the party earlier. Bhooma Nagi Reddy is an influential leader in the faction ridden politics of Rayalaseema.

Anam Ramnarayan Reddy who held high position in the earlier Congress ministry is among the probables considered from Nellore district. Other aspirants include Adala Prabhakar Reddy and Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy.

Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister P Narayana is expected to be appointed as Chairman of CRDA. In case he is given the new assignment, his continuation in the ministry is doubtful. Meanwhile, M Venu Gopal Reddy is also expecting a berth in the Cabinet.

The Tadikonda MLA, Sravan Kumar who was instrumental in convincing the local farmers to give away their land for the capital is likely to be rewarded for his effort. Ravela Kishore Babu is expected to be dropped. The party circles say that Naidu is dissatisfied with his functioning.

As Chandrababu Naidu has been evaluating the performance of ministers and ranking them based on the assessment, several of them are passing through anxious moments. Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao who recently defected to the party is an influential leader from North Coastal Andhra.

Others who hope for a ministerial berth include Bonda Uma Maheshwara Rao from Vijayawada. The party circles say that a Muslim leader is hoping to be inducted into the Cabinet to balance social composition of the ministry. Jaleel Khan and Chand Basha are the aspirants under this quota. Naidu is known for making changes at the last minute.
