The three-day monsoon session of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly began on Thursday amidst protests and slogans raised by YSRCP MLAs demanding response on the Centre's denial of special category status.
Goods and Services Tax
Post the uproar and YSRCP leaders surrounding the Speaker's podium, the AP Assembly was adjourned. Once the session resumed, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu introduced the Goods and Services Tax bill for Assembly's voting amidst all the protests. Moving the resolution in the Assembly, Chandrababu mentioned that the amendment will lead to decrease of prices of some commodities.
