Vijayawada: With the slogan of Power Your Life UNICEF has declared September 29, 2016 as World Heart Day and has been conducting awareness program globally. However, surprisingly India became centre of heart attacks and heart diseases.While the number of heart attack cases are dropping in most of the countries, sadly in India the percentage of heart attacks are increasing day by day because of diabetes and hyper tension. These coupled with lifestyle changes is making people more prone to heart attacks. People stopped taking traditional foods and habituated for junk foods, fast foods, processed foods; this along with lack of exercise is spelling doom for people.
