The District Superintendent of Police Bhaskar Bhushan has performed Ayudha Pooja on Tuesday on the auspicious day of Vijaya Dasami at District Armed Police office following the pooja for the vehicles. Additional SP N Chandrasekhar, Armed Reserve OSD B Ramakrishna, DSP G Venkateswara Rao P Bhaskar Rao, CI BKondala Rao, AR RI-K Venkata Rao and others participated in the programme.
West Godavari: The people have celebrated the Dasara with festive fervour in West Godavari district. The Goddess Durga temples and Lord Shiva temples in the district were fully packed with the devotees on Tuesday of the Vijaya Dasami festival.In Eluru , the people celebrated Vijaya Dasami on Wednesday on Lord Shiva Temples in Power pet, Agraharam, Adivarapupeta, Pathebada and Jwala Pahareswara Swamy Temple in Southern Street. The temples were filled with devotees who thronged to offer prayers to Goddess Durga on the occasion.

Eluru MLA Badeti Kotaramarao along with his family members visited the Goddess Ambica temple in Satrampadu and offered prayers to the goddess. He along with his wife performed the special prayer to the Goddess and presented five Kgs of Silver to the temple to make a silver crown to the goddess on Tuesday Night.
The temple committee president Ambica Raja said that the temple committee has decided to decorate the Goddess with silver crown with 70 kgs of silver and so far 17 Kgs, was received from the donors.The MLA visited the Adivarapupeta temple and participated in the Pratishthapana programme of the Goddess idol in the temple. He also offered prayers to Goddess Durga in Jwala Pahareswara Swamy temple in the Southern street.
