Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has expressed displeasure over the poor progress of the Smart Pulse Survey being done in the State and instructed the officials to finish the survey by the end of October. He underlined the need for speedy completion of the survey to ensure welfare schemes and development activities in the State.

He asked the officials to speed up the Smart Pulse survey due to completion of Dasara holidays. The Chief Minister on Friday conducted a video-conference with the officials from the command control room.He asked the officials to add Aadhar card, ration card numbers and LPG connection details and other important information in the smart pulse survey. He said that the government would use the survey for implementation of welfare schemes and development of the State.

He has made it clear that the data collected for the survey should be very accurate and clear. He said that the incentives will be given next month to the best performers of survey.Referring to pensions, he said new system will be introduced in the State and photo will be displaced online and finger prints will also be collected as part of the process. He made it clear that irregularities will not be tolerated in the distribution of pensions.

He announced that the efforts were on to implement the survey details from November 1 in the State. Anantapur district achieved 80 per cent progress and stood first in the State followed by West Godavari with 77 per cent. Kadapa district stood last with 67 per cent. The officials have informed Chandrababu Naidu that 78 per cent work completed in rural areas and only 57 per cent work has completed in urban areas.
