Collector launches online registration system

Nellore: District Collector R Mutyala Raju launched the online registration process of vehicles from showrooms, at Bhargavi Automobiles
on Monday. The collector said that technology had ushered in radical progress in human life and said the administration was using e-
office system for quick disposal of files. He said that the e-pragathi initiated by the Transport department for online registration of
vehicles would ease the burden on commuters.
Deputy Transport Commissioner Sivaram Prasad said the system was unique in all the 13 districts in the State. He said that customers
can make use of the new system and easily get a permanent registration number for their vehicle on the day of purchase itself and would
not need to visit the RTA office. RTO Purnachandra Rao, RTC Regional Manager Ravi Varma, Proprietor of Bhargavi Automobiles K
Balarami Reddy, and others were present at the event.
