New Delhi: The BJP here on Wednesday lashed out at Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan for his "unwarranted and ill informed comments" on the Centre over fund release to AP.
The Centre had enough funds for AP development and they were being released fast, it said, adding that Pawan Kalyan might be facing a problem of funds for his next film, but not AP, indicating the growing chasm between the friends.
Referring to Pawan Kalyan's recent attacks on the BJP-TDP combine over the issue of AP development, in-charge of the BJP for AP, Siddharth Nath Singh, said the actor should have been better informed so as to talk about such issues.
Speaking exclusively to our bureau here today, Siddharth Nath Singh, said there were enough funds for the overall development of AP and it was working in tandem with the State Government for the same.
Sufficient funds were being released to AP too periodically and the Special Economic Package announced to AP was by far the best, he said.
"The Centre has enough funds for AP. May be Pawan Kalyan does not have for his next film and is facing problems" he said asked to react on Pawan's comments.
The very package announced by the Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, recently in lieu of the Special Category Status which had become non-existent, was an indication of the Centre's commitment to AP and its development.
If Cabinet approval was needed for the Package needed, it was no issue and could be done any time. But, the package itself was a legal commitment, he assured.
The sharp attack and the unsparing comment on Pawan Kalyan's profession indicate that the BJP leadership has not taken kindly to the actor's stand.
It was presumed in general that the BJP might continue its friendship with him as it planned to strengthen its base in future.
However, this acerbic comments coming from the in-charge of the party affairs in AP only go to prove that the BJP has decided to say good-bye to Pawan Kalyan.
This also indicates that the BJP values the TDP friendship more than any and it would not tolerate any attack on it or its ally with whom it shares power both at the Centre and the State.
These comments come close on the heels of Pawan Kalyan's North Coastal Andhra meet planned at Vizianagaram.
At his recent Anantapur meet, Pawan, had gone ahead and announced that he and his Jana Sena would be contesting the next Assembly elections to defeat the anti-developmental BJP-TDP combine.
It should be recalled that Pawan did not directly blame the TDP in his first public meeting after the controversy over the special category status surfaced.
Though he skirted the SCS issue, he questioned the intentions of the BJP leadership. Later, on he started attacking the TDP too.
The BJP's attack now on Pawan Kalyan also sends signal to the TDP to sharpen its knives against the Jana Sena chief without any hesitation.
