APSPF organises 10-K marathon

Visakhapatnam: Following directions from Madireddy Pratap, Director General of Andhra Pradesh Special Protection Force (APSPF), Ch Yesuratnam and Deputy Inspector General Commandant D N A Bhasha, nearly 60 personnel including officers and men participated in the 10-K health awareness marathon at RK Beach road on Monday.
The 10-K marathon was aimed at generating health awareness among the public in the New Year under the supervision of Assistant Commandant G Lakshminarayana. The run was flagged off by Commandant Bhasha from the NTR statue to Appughar and back to NTR statue.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhasha said the event was also as a part of regular physical training to the APSPF personnel and called upon the public to cultivate the habit of morning walk or running to keep fit in daily life. The first four winners of the marathon were given away prizes by the Commandant.
