Kurnool: Superintendent of Police (SP) Ake Ravi Krishna has inaugurated the state-level cricket tournament for visually challenged at Yemmiganur on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Krishna said it is a great challenging task to the humans to do the things without having a vision. But, the visually challenged are excelling in all fields on par with normal persons. It is a determination and high spirit that makes the person to achieve the highest goals in life.

“These visually challenged people have proved that they can do anything though they don’t have vision. It is very happy to inaugurate the cricket tournament for them,” he added. For a while, Ravi Krishna tried to bat blindfolded but struggled to hit the ball. He said life has gone wild for sometime of not having vision. He praised the courage of the visually challenged and wished them all the best. Ravi Krishna said 4 teams are participating in the state-level cricket championship.

He also congratulated the organiser Mallela Alfred Raju for conducting such a beautiful event to the visually challenged. He called upon the sponsors to come forward for holding such events. DSP Kolli Srinivas, Circle Inspector G Prasad, sub inspectors, police staff and the organisers took part in the inaugural event.
