East Godavari Collector Kartikeya Misra directed concerned officials to submit detailed project reports for provision of required infrastructure facilities for establishing Central government institutions in the district. Kakinada: East Godavari Collector Kartikeya Misra directed concerned officials to submit detailed project reports for provision of required infrastructure facilities for establishing Central government institutions in the district. The collector gave this directive on Friday while reviewing the progress of centrally- sponsored schemes in the district. The collector said that central institutions have been proposed to be established in the district.
This is in addition to some central schemes being implemented which needs immediate attention,With regard to strengthening of National Institute of Fisheries Education [NIFE], Regional Centre at Kakinada, the collector directed the NIFE officials to submit detailed report to union government . The collector also directed the Kakinada Municipal commissioner to submit to the government seeking approval from the Department of Cultural Affairs for establishing Godavari Kalakshetram in Kakinada under Tagore Cultural Complexes scheme.
The collector also directed the municipal authorities to submit utilisation certificates for getting Rs 200 crore for smart city activities and for developing Kakinada as Smart city. .Land acquisition for Kakinada –Pithapuram railway line, after approval of Railway Board and completion of coastal and eco tourism circuit works between Kakinada –Hope island-.Konaseema under Swedish Darshan scheme also were discussed in detail.
