Dharna for restoration of power supply
Residents of Sagara Colony in Guntur city staged dharna at SPDCL A.E\'s office at Pichukulagunta area on Monday demanding restoration of power supply immediately. The residents say that they have no power for the last three days. Due to power outage, they have been facing lot of problems and added that elders and children are unable to stay in the house.

The residents say that they have no power for the last three days. Due to power outage, they have been facing lot of problems and added that elders and children are unable to stay in the house.
When they contacted SPDCL officials, they said, they are doing repairs to the electrical lines and give power supply soon. They criticised that the officials are least bothered about power problem in the Sagara Colony, though they were making rounds morning and evening they did not restore power supply for the last three days. Over 500 families are facing lot of problems due to outage of power. Later, they sat on the road and blocked the traffic .
The local CPI leaders rushed to the spot and inquired about situation. They also raised slogans against officials. The police swung into action and requested them to withdraw their agitation. The police and CPI held negotiations with SPDCL officials, who assured that they will restore power supply within two hours. Angered with the statements of the SPDCL officials, residents of Sagara Colony warned that if they did not power within two hours, they will stage dharna in front of SPDCL A.E's office to register their protest.
