Kakinada: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems to be making it’s own arrangements to publicise various central government schemes that are being implemented and the details pertaining to the quantum of assistance extended to the state of Andhra Pradesh during the last two-and-a-half years.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, East Godavari district BJP president Yenimireddy Malakondayya said that a three-day Modi Festival would be organised during the first week of June at ‘Ananda Bharathi’ grounds in Kakinada city. Similarly, the respective district units would organise the festival in the remaining 12 districts in AP, he added.

Malakondiah said that the three-day event would cover highlighting all the central government schemes that were being implemented including Jan Dhan , Mudra bank loans and various insurance schemes started by the NDA government. In addition to this, the details of the Rs 1.72 lakh crore extended to Andhra Pradesh during the last two years, he added.
Malakondayya also said that Amit Shah spoke to several booth level committee representatives at Vijayawada directly and gave a patient hearing to their grievances and on BJP’s relations with the TDP.

He said that the party president did not even take assistance of a translator during the course of his interaction. In the month of June, a total of 16 Union Cabinet and Ministers of State paid a visit to Andhra Pradesh to give publicity to the social welfare and development schemes of the Modi government, the BJP district president revealed.

Malakondayya also said that the BJP would conduct its national executive committee meet at Visakhapatnam on July 15 and 16. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, national BJP president Amit Shah, Chief Ministers of the 13 BJP ruled states and several senior BJP leaders and ministers would attend, he said.
