While reviewing the arrangements for the NND at the collectorate on Wednesday he said that a seven-day schedule was prepared for the programme which includes pledge by Chief Minister on June 2 from 9 am to 11 am which would be broadcast from Vijayawada throughout the state.

Kartikeya Mishra directed the constituency development officers to make arrangements at district and constituency level for live broadcasting of pledge for public participation. At district level, this pledge would be administered to the public at Balaji Cheruvu, Kakinada, and requested the commissioner of Municipal Corporation to make arrangements for it.

Organisation of debates and discussions on the subjects allotted on each day involving subject experts constituency-wise was suggested by the collector in the meeting to allow effective participation of people and public representatives of respective areas.

As per the schedule, debates and discussions would be organised at constituency level on AP bifurcation, AP Reorganisation Act, progress made in the last three years, Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) on June 3 and discussions on agriculture, allied sector development, Neeru-Chettu programme, Pattiseema, Polavaram project, interlinking of canals, urushottapatnam Lift Irrigation Scheme (PLIS), improving groundwater, soil conservation, loan waiver including cyclone mitigation on June 4.

Discussions will be held on SC, ST, BC, Kapu and minorities’ welfare on June 5 and development of human resources, attracting investments, employment generation covering health, skill development and industries on June 6. Similarly, discussions on good governance with sustainable development goals, Samaja Vikasam, Family Vikasam were planned on June 7, he added. The collector said that on the last day of NND, the Chief Minister will participate in Mahasamkalpam at Amalapuram on June 8.
