Vijayawada: City police arrested 112 students for trying to siege CM camp office, regarding cancelation GO 29 and strict implementation of Right to Education Act, here on Thursday. They have sent them to Penamaluru, Thotlavalluru and Pamidimukkala police stations.

All student organisations conducted a rally from YSRCP district office to CM camp office against GO 29, which they charged with being responsible for closing nearly 9,000 schools.Student Federation of India (SFI) state vice president M Mahesh speaking to The Hans India said that the government has not controlled the private education fees structure and it led to closure of nearly 9,000 schools in the name of rationalisation.

YSRCP Students Union State president SK Salam Babu demanded that government should implement the Right to Education Act to control exploitation by private education institutions, besides cancelling GO 29.He said that State government was indirectly helping to private education institutions through rationalization of school in the State and alleged that the CM would hand over the government schools to private education institutions.

He demanded the State government for forming District Fee Regulatory Committee on every district to prevent hike of school fees in private education institutions and alleged Education Minister G Srinivas and Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana had changed the education system as business.
