Visakhapatnam: Security arrangements have been beefed up for the visit of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who would be visiting the Araku Valley where he will conduct grama sabha in his adopted village Peda Labudu and interact with the tribals. Home Minister N Chinarajappa would be accompanying him.

He will arrive here at 9 am by special aircraft and proceed to Araku in a helicopter and land in government Degree College half an hour later. He will hold the Grama Sabha in Paringini village of Peda Labudu and distribute LPG connections.

The chief minister visited Peda Labudu in August last year and will be visiting for the first time after the Baliguda encounter in which 33 Maoists were killed.

Combing operations have been intensified in the agency and AOB area and check posts have been put up in strategic locations. All the vehicles are being frisked and special police fanned out looking for suspicious elements.

Meanwhile the district unit of CPI (M) has demanded the chief minister to disburse the arrears of coffee workers and MNREGA dues which have accumulated to over Rs 30 crore.
