NDA Presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday began his campaign with the tour of Telugu states. After visiting Hyderabad and having met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao earlier in the day, Ram Nath Kovind reached Amaravati in the evening.

He was accorded a warm welcome by AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP leaders at Amaravati.

The Presidential candidate sought for the support of the TDP leaders. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Ram Nath Kovind mentioned former politician NT Rama Rao as to how he symbolizes the Telugu pride and that he was told that NTR is an incarnation of Lord Krishna for the Telugu people.

He further stated that India with the population of over 1.25 billion is the greatest democracy in the world.
